The Pacific Chamber Orchestra’s Music in the Schools program values the importance of teaching children the connections between themselves, great music and the world around them. We also believe passionately that music education gives children the skills they need for success in the 21st century.

Each year, more than 6000 elementary students in Livermore, Pleasanton, Hayward and Orinda experience our Music in the Schools program, where a mixed quintet of flute, clarinet, violin, and trumpet perform educational assemblies teaching the fundamentals of music through the instrument children are most likely to start with in their school music programs. There is nothing like seeing and hearing professionals perform music they know and music that will be new to them in these fun interactive and in-depth educational programs.
